About Bercot Provisions

Hello, I’m Shasta Bercot — the founder and maker behind Bercot Provisions. I hand-pour coconut wax and beeswax candles and wax melts in Fort Wayne, Indiana, inspired by the charm of earlier times and the simple comfort of home.

I’ve always been drawn to antique homes, vintage treasures, and everyday objects made with care. Old things carry stories. Their thoughtful details and lasting beauty have shaped what I create and the feeling I hope to bring into your home.

How It All Began

My background is in hairstyling, a creative trade that taught me patience, artistry, and attention to detail. In 2019, that same curiosity led me to candle making.

I couldn’t find candles I truly loved. Some fragrances felt overwhelming and gave me headaches; others barely scented the room. I wanted a candle with a beautiful, noticeable fragrance that felt welcoming and balanced.

That search became years of researching, experimenting, and testing waxes, fragrance oils, and wick combinations. In October 2023, I officially launched Bercot Provisions.

What began as something I wanted for my own home became something I could share with yours.

Thoughtfully Made, Down to the Details

I make mycoconut wax and beeswax candles using a blend I developed through years of testing. I source the two waxes separately and combine them myself, carefully balancing the proportions to achieve the burn and fragrance performance I’m looking for.

My wax blend contains pure coconut wax and pure beeswax, with no other waxes or added wax additives. I pair it with fragrance oils that are free from parabens and phthalates.

Wooden wicks add a soft, comforting crackle. Square mason jars and vintage-inspired labels reflect my love of old-fashioned goods — the kind you enjoy displaying as much as using. Once your candle is finished and the jar is cleaned, it can find another purpose in your home.

I also hand-pour coconut wax and beeswax wax melts, offering another way to enjoy these fragrances in a wax warmer.

As the owner and maker, I’m personally involved in every part of the process, from developing fragrances and pouring wax to labeling jars and packing your orders.

Like the thoughtfully chosen goods in an old general store, I want each product to feel useful, beautiful, and at home in your everyday life. The fragrance, the glow, the gentle crackle, and the jar itself all have a part in that experience.
