Hello, I’m Shasta — the maker behind Bercot Provisions.

I’ve always been drawn to the charm and craftsmanship of earlier times. Growing up surrounded by antique homes and vintage treasures, I developed a deep appreciation for things that were made with care and meant to last. Old things carry stories, and that sense of history has always inspired me. That love for simpler living and timeless goods eventually inspired the creation of Bercot Provisions.

For many years I worked as a hairstylist, a creative trade that taught me the value of artistry, patience, and attention to detail. But my love for creating eventually found its way into something new — candle making.

My journey into candle making began in 2019 for a simple reason: I couldn’t find candles I truly loved. Many were either overwhelmingly strong and gave me headaches, or they barely scented a room at all. I wanted something different — a candle that felt balanced, comforting, and filled a home with beautiful fragrance without being overpowering.

So I began researching, testing, and learning everything I could about candle making.

After years of experimenting with waxes, fragrance oils, and wick combinations, Bercot Provisions officially launched in October 2023.

Each candle is hand-poured in Indiana using a carefully crafted blend of coconut wax and beeswax. I chose these two waxes intentionally because they are among the cleanest and highest-quality options available. Creating this blend wasn’t the easy route — the waxes must be sourced separately and combined in precise ratios that I developed through extensive testing to achieve the performance and scent throw I was looking for.

The result is a candle designed to burn beautifully while filling your space with a warm, inviting fragrance.

The inspiration behind each scent is rooted in everyday moments — fresh laundry on a clothesline, peaceful mornings in the garden, or the simple comfort of being home. Much like an old general store once offered thoughtfully crafted goods for the home. Bercot Provisions is rooted in the belief that the small details matter — the soft glow of a candle, a familiar scent drifting through the room, and the quiet moments that make a house feel like home.
