About Me
Hello, I’m Shasta, a multifaceted individual whose most cherished roles encompass being a devoted wife and mother. Fort Wayne, Indiana, is not only my birthplace but also the cherished locale I proudly call home. My professional journey began with cosmetology school, and for over a decade, I’ve honed my skills as a hairstylist. While styling hair is my part-time occupation, the bulk of my time is dedicated to nurturing my family, engaging in blogging endeavors, and curating distinctive goods for my online shop.
Rooted in an upbringing within a venerable home from the early 1900s, my affinity for antiques and vintage aesthetics was cultivated. Though the origin of my passion for all things old-fashioned remains a mystery, it has consistently been a source of admiration throughout my life.
Transitioning into my personal narrative, I found my life partner in 2012 and embarked on homeownership in 2013, acquiring a historic 1925 residence in our city’s traditional neighborhood. Infused with a wealth of antiquated charm, we’ve endeavored to imbue our abode with personal touches through thrifting antiquities and thoughtful renovations. The ensuing years brought the profound joy of parenthood, with the arrival of our sons in 2015 and 2017, respectively. Together, my family shares a passion for antiquing, gardening, and culinary pursuits, reveling in the beauty of our day-to-day experiences.

Bercot Provisions serves as a reflection of my passions and pursuits. My penchant for antiques is not merely an obsession but a conduit to simpler times and cherished historical narratives. Each piece I encounter possesses a captivating story, discovered amidst the thrill of antiquing adventures. Seeking to share this passion, I envisioned Bercot Provisions as a platform to offer curated finds alongside insightful content aimed at enriching homes and lives.
What began as a humble blog has evolved into a burgeoning business endeavor. Inspired by my desire to capture the essence of bygone eras, I embarked on crafting a candle company reminiscent of yesteryears. Each candle within our collection serves as a narrative unto itself, adorned with titles and imagery evoking simplicity and nostalgia. Embracing the ethos of the Victorian era, our candles are designed to impart both ambiance and functionality, housed in iconic mason jars with vintage-inspired black lids. Encouraging sustainability, I advocate for repurposing these jars and lids for practical use around the home.
